Churachandpur, Manipur:
In a case of fratricide, two Junior Commissioned Officers of 12th Maratha Rifles were shot dead allegedly by their colleagues in Manipur's interior Churachandpur district.
The incident occurred at Khengjang camp near power station under Churachandpur police station on Monday evening.
The motive behind the incident was not immediately known but initial reports suggested that there was a quarrel between the JCOs and some riflemen.
The army personnel, whose headquarters was located at Khugadam area, a few kms away, were posted at Khengjang post, sources said.
The names of the victims were not yet disclosed by the officials although post mortem has been conducted at Imphal.
