Firozabad: A marriage party was held hostage by the bride side after the groom and his family walked out of the marriage following a tiff over some issue, police said in Firozabad on Sunday.
Marriage of Neetu and Mohan Singh Barauti was scheduled last night in Asuakhera village, but as the function started the two sides had quarrel over some issue late last night, Superintendent of Police Uday Pratap said.
Soon groom Mohan Singh and his kin left the venue midway.
Enraged over this the bride side held the entire marriage party captive, the SP said.
The issue was resolved after the police was called.
The police called back the groom and his family and the marriage was finally solemnized this afternoon, the SP said.
