Mathura junction railway station will also get a station Director by the year end.

A string of innovative steps are being introduced at Mathura junction railway station including putting up an integrated security system and providing wi-fi facility as part of the railway's attempt at upgrading the junction.
DRM Agra Prabhash Kumar, who was speaking in Mathura today on the occassion of nine-day cleanliness drive by the railways, said passenger facilities were being extended at Mathura junction as it caters to the highest number of passengers in stations falling under DRM Agra.
"Not only integrated security system would be introduced, but wi-fi facility would also be made available at Mathura junction shortly," said Mr Kumar.
Mr Kumar said Mathura junction railway station will also get a station Director by the year end.
"Considering the importance of stations, railway board has selected 75 stations for appointing a station director for better administration and coordination with the passengers. By the year end, Mathura would have its station Director for better management," he said.
Only 12 stations across India have station Directors.
Mr Kumar said the cleanliness drive was an attempt by the railways to create awareness about cleanliness among passengers and appealed to people to join hands with railways in their endeavour.
"We feel efforts at administrative level and social level, if associated, would bring better result," he said.
The cleanliness drive by the railways began on September 17 and will conclude tomorrow.
