Mathura: A 40-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after strangulating his wife to death in Dabar village, police said on Saturday.
According to the police, 40-year-old Sarnam Singh, a factory worker and resident of Dabar village in Fatepur Sikari district, suspected his wife Krishna Devi of having illicit relations with one Praveen.
He allegedly strangulated Krishna in the presence of their four children on Friday night and later committed suicide by hanging himself from the third floor of the factory, SP City Omveer Singh said.
The sequence of the incident was confirmed by their 13-year-old daughter, he said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
