Beed (Maharashtra):
A medical officer was, on Sunday, arrested from a lodge after he was found there with a 20-year-old nursing student from a government college, police said.
Medical Officer (class II) Dr Sachin Deshmukh, who is attached to the district civil hospital, was caught with the student at Shantai lodge here and has been booked under sections 376D (intercourse by any member of the management or staff of a hospital with any woman in that hospital) and 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) among others, Additional Superintendent of Police Shrikant Dhivre told PTI.
Meanwhile, District Civil Surgeon Dr Gauri Rathod said that the accused has been dismissed from service and the woman has been rusticated from the college.
It seems the student was supposed to report to her hostel before 9 pm but had overstayed, she said.
