New Delhi: The Delhi Metro is organising a 'Heritage Walk' for the residents of the national capital to explore the old Delhi on the occasion of World Tourism Day on September 27 between 8 am and 11.30 am.
The first such walk, in association with 'Delhi Walks'--an organisation working in the tourism sector, will also involve metro rides from Gurgaon's Huda City Centre and a tour of the Metro Museum at Patel Chowk station.
The charge will be Rs 1,056 per person (aged above 15) whereas for those aged between 8-15 years it will be Rs 528. There would be free ride for children up to 8 years.
Participants of the Walk, will visit the Metro Museum at Patel Chowk which documents the mass rapid network's story since its inception.
On reaching the Chandni Chowk station, the participants will be taken around the area, also known as 'Shahjahanabad' named after its founder Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
