Kota: A five-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped from Kota five days ago, was rescued from a village in Madhya Pradesh, police said today.
The victim was abducted from RK Puram area here on May 6, following which her neighbour Laxmi, was detained and interrogated, they said.
Laxmi had revealed that the girl's uncle Ashok had abducted her and wanted to sell her in Bhopal. Following the information, police conducted a raid in Sonkesh village in MP yesterday from where they rescued the girl, they said.
Ashok was detained along with two others-Ramesh Kanjar and Mahesh, to whom he was to sell the girl, police said adding, the four accused are being interrogated.
