Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh: A Class III student of a private school died on Wednesday after allegedly being thrashed by a teacher in the Jahangirabad area of the district.
It was brought to our knowledge that an eight-year-old student of a private primary school had died due to alleged caning and thrashing by a teacher, basic shiksha adhikari Ramesh Chandra Verma said.
A departmental team was rushed to the school for investigation, he said, adding that the probe could not be completed as the teacher Ramesh Kumar was absconding.
"We are investigating the matter, and our team will soon come up with the truth,"he added.
However, when approached, the police said that they had not received any complaint regarding the matter.
