Hazaribagh:
A 16-year-old girl was gang raped and murdered by unidentified men at the Akshara Chowk in Hazaribagh district, the police said on Sunday.
Finding the girl alone, the culprits on Saturday night went to her house, raped and killed her, the police said.
The girl's widow mother was away when the crime took place, the sources said.
The body of the girl was also burnt by the perpetrators, apparently to make the crime look as a case of suicide.
Based on her mother's account, the police filed an FIR against five unknown persons, the sources added.
