Rewari: A 12-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by her neighbour in Bawal area of Rewari district.
The rape took place on November 14 but came to light on Friday as the minor girl and her father were allegedly kept in confinement by a village sarpanch, police said.
Neighbour of the girl, Manoj, allegedly raped the girl on November 14. After the girl narrated the incident to her father he approached the village sarpanch Chokh Ram.
After escaping from the clutches of the sarpanch they approached the police and a case was filed on Friday, police said.
A case of wrongful confinement has been registered against Chokh Ram, who was absconding, police said.
