Greater Noida:
A 42-year-old woman and her 11-year-old daughter were found murdered inside their home in Greater Noida near Delhi on Tuesday, with a blood-stained pair of scissors and a bat near their bodies. The police say the woman's missing son, 16, is a suspect in the chilling family murders.
The bodies of mother and daughter were found in their apartment in Gaur City, with multiple stab wounds and wrapped in blankets. It is believed that they were beaten with the bat and then stabbed with the scissors repeatedly. The teen son, believed to be the only other person in the flat at the time, is missing. The woman's husband is a businessman, was away in Surat and his parents, who stay with them, were also out of town.
The murders are believed to have taken place on Monday night. Alarmed that his wife and children were not responding to his calls, the husband sent his cousin and neighbours, who broke into the apartment.
The police say the son, a class 10 student, is seen leaving the house on security footage. The boy's bloodstained clothes were reportedly found in another room.
Police said the teenage son was seen leaving the house on security camera.
He has reportedly told the police that Rs 2 lakh is missing from the locker in their four-bedroom apartment.
