A policeman became a recent victim of 'mob justice' in Uttar Pradesh after his car hit two bikes, injuring two people. Manoj Kumar, the cop, was reportedly drunk and kept pleading for mercy but was relentlessly thrashed by a group of men in Bulandshahr.
A video being shared online shows the cop, with his clothes ripped, helplessly lying on the ground as a group of men overpower him, remove his belt and thrash him with it. The crowd can also be heard abusing him in the video.
An FIR was registered against the cop at Sikandrabad police station and an enquiry has been ordered in the case.
