Viveka's friends and relatives have been called for questioning, police said, adding while no suicide note was found in her apartment at Continental Towers in suburban Bandra, several letters addressed to one Gautam has been recovered.
"According to her friends, Gautam and Viveka were dating since the past few months. We are yet to call Gautam for questioning," a senior police official said on Saturday.
Preliminary reports suggest she was depressed after a break up with her boyfriend. The police have recovered her diary based on which police has reason to believe she committed suicide. The last entry in the diary was just two words 'I Kill.'
The police, however, said there "appears to be no foul play" in the death of the top model.
"Post mortem report received from Cooper Hospital states that the model died as a result of hanging. There appears to be no foul play," said said Khar Police Station Senior Inspector Mangesh Pote.
The 37-year-old model, who featured in several advertisements and ran an event management firm, Vibgyor Entertainment, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her house last evening.
Police broke open the door of her house after neighbours said there was no response to their repeated calls from Viveka although she was at home.
Police have seized the letters, Viveka's mobile and laptop from the residence. The body has been sent to the Cooper Hospital for post-mortem.
