Raipur:
A woman and her four daughters were allegedly strangled to death by some unidentified men in Balodabazar district, police said on Monday.
55-year-old Shri Bai Vaishnav and her four daughters -- Amrika (35), Mala (15), Sahodra Bai (25) and Kondi (25) were found strangulated at their house in Khapridih village in Bhialigarh area on Sunday evening, Senior Superintendent of Police Deepanshu Kabra told reporters in Raipur.
According to the preliminary probe, two unidentified miscreants had come to the house and even had refreshments there prior to the incident.
Shri Bai's husband Bhuneshwar Das Vaishnav had died few months back. The couple had four younger children, Kabra said.
According to Chandani (9), one of the surviving children, the two men locked her and three other siblings in a room.
Further probes are on, the SSP added.
