Mother poisons children, self; she survives

Balrampur: Two children died when their mother gave poison to them before consuming the substance herself in a bid to commit suicide after a tiff with her husband at a village in Pachpedwa area, police said today.

The incident took place on Thursday when Jarina had a dispute with her husband Wasim following which she consumed poison after giving it to her children, one-year-old Gudia and three-year-old Ashfaq, they said.

While the children died, Jarina, who was pregnant, was rushed to a hospital, where her condition was stated to be critical.
