Mumbai:
A 30-year-old aircraft maintenance engineer in the erstwhile Indian Airlines committed suicide at his residence in suburban Kalina on Monday.
Ritik Bhattacharya was found hanging from the ceiling of his house located in Indian Airlines Colony at Kalina, DCP Satyanarayan Chaudhury said.
Bhattacharya left behind a note that read, "no one should be held responsible for my death." He gave no reason for taking the extreme step of taking his life.
According to police, Bhattacharya was preparing to move to Goa as he had been served with transfer order from the airline.
Investigations were on to find out the reason why he committed suicide, the DCP said.
