Twenty-five-year-old Kiran Dongarshi in Mumbai was killed by her uncle after she turned down his marriage proposal. After killing her, 35-year-old Ajay Dongarshi slashed his hands and scribbled Kiran's name on the wall with his blood.(

Dongarshi was discharged from hospital after his condition grew stable, and was finally arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning said Shailendra K Gaikwad, senior police inspector with Malabar Hill police station.
According to the police, Dongarshi was unemployed, and his three children stayed with their grandparents after his wife's demise. The victim had confided in her mother and brother about the uncle's harassment but they preferred keeping mum to avoid embarrassment to the family.
"She had complained to us about this and we had warned Ajay, but we never imagined that things would take a drastic turn. When I got back home, I saw my sister lying in a pool of blood," said Kamlesh Dongarshi, Kiran's brother.
