Mumbai: Man looted of gold, cash in broad daylight

Mumbai: Vijay Sahadev, a resident of Ahmednagar had come to Vashi with 1 kg of gold to make ornaments for his daughter's wedding, but little did he know that he would lose all that he saved for her.

Sahadev had parked his car outside Richie Rich shop at sector 17, Vashi when an unidentified person approached him and said that his money had fallen down below the car. Sahadev got out of the vehicle to check when another person who was near the car, made away with the bag that was kept inside.

Sahadev realised that his bag was stolen when he got back into his car. After that he searched for the guy who told him about the money that had fallen below the car but he was nowhere to be seen. "The bag contained around 1 kg gold and Rs 45,000 cash. He had come here to get gold ornaments made out of the gold," police said, adding, "We have registered a case and probe is on."
