Mumbai student blamed ragging in suicide note
Jhalawar/Mumbai: A Mumbai-based student committed suicide in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district on Monday by jumping in front of train while coming back to his home in Kurukshetra.

According to the police, Satyendra, 28, who was pursuing a one-year advanced diploma course at Mumbai's Advanced Training Institute, was depressed and frustrated as his seniors were constantly harassing and ragging him.

Satyendra left behind a suicide note in which he blamed seven seniors for harassing him.

Institute Director said they are conducting enquiry on the basis of media reports but they are waiting for a formal complaint.

The family of Satyendra Kumar Dhiman, who committed suicide on Monday by jumping in front of a moving train in Rajasthan, have demanded stern action against seven people named by him in the suicide note.

"He had told us that he was returning home since he could not tolerate the harassment any more. We demand a thorough probe and strict punishment for the seven men who are accused of driving my brother to suicide," said Ashok Dhiman, brother of Satyendra.

Satyendra is survived by his wife and a two-year old son.
