Mumbai train strike leaves several offices empty

Mumbai: The strike by motormen means only 15% of  Mumbai local trains are running on Tuesday. The government has asked commutes to use trains only if absolutely necessary.

Offices are reporting wide-spread absenteeism.

The Civic Headquarters at Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) says 90% of its employees have skipped work today. The state government offices in Mumbai at the Mantralaya have reported 18 percent attendance.
