Muzaffarnagar: A pregnant woman gave birth to a baby in a horse cart in Muzaffarnagar after a government hospital allegedly refused to admit her, officials said on Friday.
Manju Devi was brought to the government-run hospital in Thana Bhawan town in the district after she complaint of labour pains on Thursday evening but the hospital authorities refused to admit her, they said.
On way to another hospital, Devi delivered the baby in the horse cart, in which she was travelling, they said.
The woman's husband has filed a complaint against the hospital authority with District Magistrate following which a probe has been ordered into the incident.
