Nashik: Reeling under intense cold wave since over a week, Nashik city today recorded a temperature of 2.7 degree Celsius in the early hours, the lowest in last 40 years here, Met sources said.
The drop in temperature was recorded at 4 am on Thursday morning, they said. However, the mercury moved later up to 8.4 degree Celsius at 8.30 am.
The city has been experiencing a extreme dip in temperatures during the wee hours fo the last two days.
Sources said the cold wave will continue for another day or two and is likely to have an effect on grapes and other crops in the region.
