Faridabad: A new born baby boy was found dead near the Gurgaon canal of the district, police said on Tuesday.
Navneet Kumar - a resident of Chawla Colony Vallabhgarh - spotted the dead child, who had been abandoned by an unidentified woman near the Gurgaon canal on Monday, a police spokesman said.
On the complaint made by Mr Kumar, police registered a case against the unidentified woman, he said.
Prima facie it appears that the boy was abandoned by an unidentified woman who wanted to get rid of the child, the spokesman said.
