Nine held for alleged attack on student

Nine people were arrested in connection with Tuesday's stabbing of an undergraduate student of a government Arts College near Puducherry.
  
The gang, who fled the scene after stabbing the student, was nabbed in the vicinity of the college and sharp edged weapons were also seized from them, police said.

Police sources said the student and members of the gang had a heated argument some days back during their trip in motor cycles and the enmity grew between the student and the gangsters.
