Shimla:
There was no respite from cold condition in Himachal Pradesh on Monday despite the absence of rain or snow with cold winds blowing across the hilly state.
Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul & Spiti district, remained the coldest in the state with a night temperature of minus 8.9 degree Celsius, the Met office said.
However, capital Shimla saw mercury rising slightly, recording a day temperature of 15.6 degree Celsius against 14.5 C on Sunday. The minimum was recorded at 4.7 degrees.
Elsewhere, Sundernagar registered a day temperature of 22.1 degree Celsius (against 22.5 degrees on Sunday), Bhuntar 19.8 C (19.2 degrees a day before) and Kalpa 11.5 degrees (12.2 C on Sunday).
A report from Kelong said sky was clear but icy cold winds kept the place cool.
The Met office has forecast mainly dry weather.
