Mumbai:
Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has said that no new skyscrapers would be permitted in Mumbai till the completion of the Middle Vaitarna Project in 2012.
Chavan, who also hold the portfolio of state's Urban Development ministry, said in Maharashtra Assembly on Friday.
However, projects that have already been given permission will not be affected.
Middle Vaitarna Project is the biggest water project under construction in Mumbai, which will supply water to the metropolis.
