Kolhapur: Online booking for Tirupati Balaji's Pooja at Mahalaxmi Mandir will be available from March 15, Western Maharashtra Devasthan Committee's member Padma Tivale and Mahalaxmi Mandir Manager Dhanaji Jadhav told reporter s on Tuesday.
Online service for Special Darshan of Sri Venkateswaraswamy at Tirumala was started at the Mahalaxmi Mandir from September 2007 by depositing Rs 50. From that time, devotees wanted to visit Tirupati were demanding online pooja reservation. Hence the Devasthan committee took follow-up on the online pooja reservation with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for which it agreed, Jadhav said.
After having the darshan of Balaji at Tirumala it is a ritual to have the darshan of Mahalaxmi, and hence devotees all over India come to Kolhapur to visit Mahalaxmi Mandir.
From March 15, online reservations will be available from Monday to Friday (except Tuesday) from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, the service will be available from 9 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 7 pm.
