Chandigarh:
Jails in Haryana will provide vocational training to prisoners as per the directions of Jail Reform Committee so that they become self reliant.
This was stated by Chairman of the Jail Reforms Committee and former Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice J S Shekhon who was leading a three-member team of the committee during its visit to the prison at village Nimka in Faridabad district today, an official release said here.
Justice Shekhon said prisoners should be treated with a more humane approach and the Committee was following the principle of "hate the sin and not the sinner".
