Jaipur:
16 Nursery Teachers Training (NTT) students, who climbed atop a water storage tank, had called off their agitation following assurance by the Rajasthan government to look into their demands.
The 16 students led by Titu Sharma had climbed atop the 18 meter tank yesterday morning at Bajaj Nagar and descended last night after government officials assured them to look into their demands within 15 days.
The students were demanding beginning of pre-primary classes in government schools to create scope for NTT diploma holders, who are eligible to teach up to only second standard after modification of rules by NCTE, and provision of recruitment in government jobs.
According to Sharma, there are over 27,000 NTT candidates across the state.
