Odisha man gets life imprisonment for killing wife

Balasore: A 32-year-old man was sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment by a court in Balasore for murdering his wife about three years ago.

Sessions Judge V Jayshree yesterday sentenced Lambu Besra to rigorous life imprisonment for causing death of his 27-year-old wife Basanti by beating her with a stick over a family dispute at Nampo village on August 16, 2010.

Besra tried to dispose the body secretly, but was arrested after the matter was reported to police by a village guard, prosecution said.
