Rourkela: A worker of Orissa Cement Ltd (OCL) was killed when he fell from a pole of the conveyor belt at its Lanjibarna mines under Rajgangpur police limits of Sundargarh district, about 45 km from Rourkela on Friday.
The worker, identified as Pabitra Badala succumbed to his injuries on the way to the Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Bijay Nanda, IIC, Rajgangpur said.
The villagers of Pabitra sat on dharna at the accident site demanding compensation and employment to one of the family members of the deceased.
