Pak SIMs banned in border areas of Rajasthan

Jaisalmer: The district administration has banned the use of Pakistani SIM cards as a preventive measure in border areas close to the Indo-Pakistan border as a preventive measure.

"Signals of Pakistani mobile towers are easily accessible in bordering areas, so we have banned the use of Pakistani SIM cards here," Jaisalmer district collector Girraj Kushwaha said. "It was also done to stop the possibility of sending vital information using Pakistani SIMs," he said. Similar steps have also been taken at other Rajasthan districts of Bikaner, Barmer and Sriganganagar where signals of Pakistani mobile companies are available.
