Parts of kidnapped Gurgaon boy's body found

Gurgaon: Decomposed parts of what the police believe is the body of kidnapped Class XI student Azharuddin, have been found in Harsingpur, 50 km from Etah in Uttar Pradesh.

The skeletal remains will be sent for DNA profiling.

Azharuddin, a student of Delhi Public School, Bhondsi, was kidnapped and murdered allegedly by his friends, when his family members failed to pay a ransom of Rs. 50 lakh.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Anil Dhawan had said on Wednesday that 16-year-old Azharuddin's two friends Manoj and Syed Aftab asked him out of his house in Bhondsi, in Gurgaon for an evening walk on December 21. Later three other young men Anish, Aniyansh and Ravi joined them and the five kidnapped Azhruddin and took him to Etah.

The kidnappers asked Azharuddin's family to pay Rs 50 lakh and when the family refused, killed the boy and burnt his body, police said.

Etah locals Prem and Papu helped the killers in Uttar Pradesh. The police are trying to apprehend them by tracking Azharuddin's mobile phone, which they were using.
