Party office, roadside stalls gutted

Howrah, West Bengal: A Trinamool Congress office and eight roadside stalls were gutted when a fire broke out at the Gabhberia area in the Howrah district in the early hours today. Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

The police suspect a short circuit to have led to the fire. The Trinamool Congress district president Arup Roy alleges that the fire was a conspiracy by the CPI(M).
