Patiala:
Police on Wednesday arrested a woman and recovered fake currency notes with the face value of Rs 1.77 lakh and five kg opium from her.
The accused was identified as Harwinder Kaur alias Jassi, a resident of Fatehgarh district, the police said.
During a routine search at a checkpost at Patiala-Bhadson road, a police team headed by SHO, Jaswant Singh Mangat nabbed the accused near village Chahal of Bhadson, they said.
The police have registered a case under various sections of NDPS Act and IPC against the accused.
She will be produced in a local court seeking her police remand.
