Police bust inter-state arms dealers in Bokaro

Bokaro: Two persons suspected to be supplying weapons to Maoists and miscreants were arrested on Monday at Madhudih village in Bokaro district, a police officer said.

Following a tip-off, the police identified the two as Sohail Ansari and Islam Ansari. The duo had come to Sector-9 of Bokaro Steel Plant, a police team raided the area and nabbed them, Superintendent of Police S K Singh told newsmen.
    
The two were allegedly involved in inter-state arms supply and the police were investigating whether the Ansari's had also supplied to the Maoists, he added.
    
A pistol, two country-made guns and 14 cartridges were recovered from their possession, the SP said.
