A police constable named Arun Wani has been arrested on charges of rape in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. He is accused of raping a 17-year-old-girl.
An FIR has been lodged at Yawal police station in Jalgaon district and the constable has been suspended.
The constable picked up the girl on the pretext of giving her a lift to her house and then took her to a secluded spot and raped her.
The girl was returning home from her friend's house when the incident took place.
