Delhi:
A 28-year-old woman was allegedly raped in the servant quarters at a Congress Member of Parliament's bungalow on Janpath in New Delhi.
A senior police officer said the victim is four months pregnant and was being repeatedly raped by the accused, Kimod Kumar Raju, on the pretext of marriage. Raju is employed as a peon at Nirman Bhavan with a government department.
Neha lives in bungalow number 7B, Janpath while the accused Raju lives in the 7A, Janpath. Both have known each other for quite a long time.
In her complaint to the police, Neha alleged that Raju had been having sex with her and promised that he would marry her. But later refused.
"Neha came to know about her pregnancy only recently. She told her family and when they asked Raju, he refused to marry her. They lodged a police complaint at the Chanakyapuri Police Station," a senior police officer said.
The accused has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
