Pune: A man driving a Maruti Zen was caught in Pune by an angry crowd on Thursday after he hit a series of cars and two-wheelers. Seven people were injured. The crowd forced the Zen to stop.

The reason for the accident was obvious - the driver had been steering the Zen in handcuffs. In the backseat, along for the ride, were two policemen in uniform.

A furious crowd grabbed the driver, clearly a prisoner, and his two passengers. They've been handed over to other policemen.

Of the people injured in the accidents caused by the prisoner, one is believed to be in critical condition.
