Faridabad:
Three bike-borne youths shot at a property dealer when he was on his morning walk in Faridabad, critically injuring him, police said on Monday.
"Surendra Chauhan (32), a resident of Mahavatpur village, was out on a walk at 6 AM on Sunday when three youths, riding on two bikes, fired at him with country-made pistols," ASI Basant Kumar said.
The bikers then fled the spot, he said.
"Mr Chauhan, who received the bullet injuries, was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors said his condition was critical," the ASI further said.
Prima facie the reason behind the attack appears to be a business rivarly, the ASI said.
A case has been registered with Bhupani police station under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) and various sections of Arms Act, Mr Kumar said, adding, investigations are underway.
