Jodhpur:
Protesters demanding action against the police for the "encounter" of a youth on Sunday blocked the Jodhpur-Jaipur Highway, setting ablaze two Rajasthan Roadways buses and damaging other vehicles.
Police said few hundred people gathered near Dangiawas, and blocked the highway.
They were shouting slogans against the police and the administration and demanding registration of a case against the police for death of Choturam Jat in an encounter on May 18 and compensation of Rs 20 lakh and a government job for any of his kin.
Police said they arrested 23 people in connection with the violence.
