Pune:
A 15-year old girl was raped at a lodge in Parali-Vaijanath by a youth who lured her into accompanying him under the pretext of going on a pilgrimage. A rape and kidnapping case has been registered against Vijay Vitekar, a resident of Tadiwala road in Pune, after the victim approached the Bund Garden police station.
The police said they were on the lookout for the accused.
According to the complainant, Vitekar approached her on July 15 when she was going to her classes around 8 pm. Vitekar had told her that one of her friends had reached Pandharpur and had asked her to reach the pilgrimage town with him.
Police Sub-Inspector Mohini Sonar, who is investigating the case, said, "Vitekar took the girl to various places.
From Tadiwala road they went to Hadapsar and then to Solapur, Pandharpur and again to Solapur and Latur.
Vitekar took the girl to a lodge in Shivaji Nagar area of Parali-Vaijanath city. There he allegedly raped her."
