Pune:
Around 20 couples got a divorce in the Lok Adalat held by the Pune District Legal Services Authority (PDLSA) on Sunday at the Pune family court.
A total of 153 pending cases of divorce and maintenance were put up for hearing during the Lok Adalat. The PDLSA instituted a four-member panel -- family court judges RV Deshmukh, MG Kulkarni, SP Vaidya and retired judge NH Shaikh -- to dispose of the cases. Two counsellors were also appointed for each panel.
Pune Family Court Lawyers Association president Prafulla Bhavsar and bar member Ashiwini Gaware and Dattatray Bhujbal worked as counsellors. The panel members hearing a case during the Lok Adalat.
