Pune: The Pune civic authority has cut the water supply by 30 per cent in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area for two days. The order was put into effect from Friday.
The civic authority has attributed the cut to the repair work being carried out by the irrigation department at Bedadohal bridge.
The department discharges about 1,200 cusecs water from Pavana dam every day. "But only 350 cusecs water will be released from the dam on these two days," the officials said.
The executive engineer of water supply department of the civic body, Ambadas Chavan, has appealed to citizens to cooperate with the civic body.
