Shillong:
An earthquake measuring measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale rocked this Meghalaya capital Tuesday, an official said.
The tremor was felt at 8.44 a.m. with the epicentre located 60 km from the Regional Seismological Centre in Upper Shillong, the official said.
Seismologists consider the northeastern states to be the sixth most earthquake-prone belt in the world.
