Railway superintendent booked for raping minor girl

Dehradun: A 50-year-old railway superintendent allegedly raped a teenaged girl at Motichur area of Haridwar, police said today.
     
Rajpal Meena posted at Motichur railway station, allegedly raped the 18-year-old on January 18 when his wife had gone to Jammu, according to an FIR lodged by the father of the victim.

The girl's father, who also works as a gangman in the railways, said that Meena called his daughter to his home for some work and then allegedly raped her. Meena also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.
   
Police have registered a case under section 376 of IPC against Meena. He, however, is absconding since the matter came to light yesterday.
   
Meanwhile, the girl has been sent for a medical examination.
