It was an arranged match and even the marriage date was set - June 19. But even after the engagement took place, the demands of the groom's family never ended. Fed up, she spoke to her family and decided to end it but not before ensuring she taught them a lesson.
"She wanted to teach them a lesson and along with her brother decided to catch the grooms family red handed," explains the now proud father.
So the brother sister duo used a hidden camera when the grooms family came visiting and caught it all on tape.
The video was then handed over to the police who arrested the boy and his father.
Rani's already decided who she's marrying. A professional singer. Who admires her courage. "He said, 'don't think I'm doing you a favour'," she explains, grinning.
