New Delhi:
The full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day parade takes place on Saturday with police
warning commuters that they may face inconvenience due to traffic restrictions.
The parade, which starts from Vijay Chowk, will pass through Rajpath, Tilak Marg, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, Delhi Gate, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose road and reach Red Fort.
The parade, which will cover a distance of 8 km, starts from 9:50 am and is likely to end at around 12:30 pm.
The traffic on Rajpath will be closed from 5 am while cross movement of vehicles will be allowed till 9:30 am.
From 10 am, traffic will not be allowed on Tilak Marg, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg.
Meanwhile, the air space over IGI Airport, Delhi would also be closed for a radius of 50 nautical miles on January 23, 24 and 26 between 1115 hrs and 1215 hrs IST; due to Republic Day preparations.
