Mumbai:
The Saki Naka police will soon file an application in the Andheri metropolitan magistrate's court stating that a rape case filed by a 13-year-old girl in March was false.
The girl, a resident of Saki Naka, had alleged that she was raped by nine men for over a year-and-a-half.
Recent medical reports confirmed that the girl was not physically abused. She was sent to JJ Hospital and Nagpada police hospital for medical examination.
Reports from both the hospitals have stated that the girl was not raped.
"The girl, who stayed with her aunt, had alleged that nine men, including her cousin Dhawal Bapat, 21, and Jamunaprasd Sharma, 71, a neighbour, had raped her on several occasions in the past almost two years. The matter came to light when her aunt, who was in Bhuj, learnt about it.
One of the accused had allegedly called up the girl when she was in Bhuj.
The accused allegedly asked her to return, else he would eliminate her aunt," said an official from Saki Naka police station.
"We had arrested four out of the nine accused. Meanwhile, we conducted the medical tests.
Both the reports stated that there were no injuries on the girl's private parts. Hence, the rape complaint does not stand.
We would soon be filing an application in the court stating that the complaint filed by the girl was false and the case should be closed," said police inspector Ashok Kolamkar.
