Angered by the shocking news of a school cab driver allegedly raping a minor girl and her brothers in the Capital, a mob beat up the cab driver at the Prasad Nagar police station.
The driver, Lalit, who was arrested on Friday night, had been allegedly raping a minor schoolgirl and her two younger brothers for the past two years.
Police said Lalit has confessed to the crime and has also revealed names of his four co-accused who are all minor studying in the same school.
These minor boys were allegedly part of the gangrape and also made an MMS of the victims. The driver will be produced in the Tees Hazari court later today.
Irate locals also ransacked the Prasad Nagar Police station in Delhi when the accused driver was inside the police station.
The gruesome incident surfaced on Friday when the 12-year-old schoolgirl, studying in class VII, narrated the story to her widowed mother. Her two minor brothers study in Class III and V.
The girl said that she was repeatedly raped under the influence of drug and the accused also sodomised her younger brothers.
She said that the rapist also made an MMS and threatened to kill her if she told the story to anyone.
"He threatened to kill their mother if they disclosed the harassment. The children were so scared that they did not inform anyone. But around 25 days ago, the girl told her mother about it," a senior police official told PTI.
The mother also did not muster courage to approach police. "She did not send her children to school after she came to know about the incident," the official said.
The incident came to light when one of her tenants came to know about the matter and informed a local politician who is his friend.
The politician took the children to the police after which a medical examination was conducted which confirmed the sexual assault. Following this, police nabbed Lalit but the minors were yet to be apprehended.
